Step 4: Update Your Ads.txt file

Ads.txt ("Authorized Digital Sellers") is how you publicly declare which companies are allowed to sell your game's ad inventory. AppLixir requires your ads.txt to list our authorized demand so buyers will bid on your inventory — missing or out-of-date entries significantly reduce your fill rate and CPMs.

Get your entries from your dashboard

Your ads.txt lines are specific to your account, so copy them from your dashboard rather than from a generic file:

  1. Sign in at client.applixir.com and open the Ads.txt tab.
  2. Use Copy or Download ads.txt to grab the block under Your ads.txt entries.
  3. Append those lines to the ads.txt file at the root of the domain that hosts your WebGL build — e.g. https://yourgame.com/ads.txt. Keep any existing lines; just add ours below them.
  4. Deploy and confirm https://yourgame.com/ads.txt loads the entries publicly.
Personalized — and updated over time

The Ads.txt tab shows lines specific to your account (including your seller ID). We occasionally update our authorized demand partners; when we notify you of a change, re-copy the block — stale entries can suppress bids. If the tab isn't there yet, your account is still being provisioned and we'll email you when it's ready.

Mobile / in-app games

For mobile or app-store games the file is named app-ads.txt instead. Host it at the root of your developer domain and enter that URL in your app-store listing.

One file per domain

There is only one ads.txt (and one app-ads.txt) per domain. If you run multiple games on the same domain, they share the file — you only need to add our entries once.
