Integration for HTML5 Sites/Apps Updated Jun 10

Step 5: Updating Ads.txt

Ads.txt ("Authorized Digital Sellers") is how you publicly declare which companies are allowed to sell your site's ad inventory. AppLixir requires your ads.txt to list our authorized demand so buyers will bid on — and pay for — your rewarded-video inventory. Missing or out-of-date entries significantly reduce your fill rate and CPMs.

You don't have to wait for this to keep building

ads.txt affects monetization, not whether the SDK works. You can finish and test your entire integration without it — you only need ads.txt in place by the time you go live. So add the base block below now and keep moving; you don't have to block your integration on it.

Add the AppLixir demand-partner lines now

These lines are the same for every AppLixir publisher and need nothing from your account, so you can add them today. Append them to the ads.txt file at the root of every domain you monetize with AppLixir — e.g. https://yourdomain.com/ads.txt. Keep your existing lines from other partners; just add ours below them.

Add your own DIRECT line once your seller ID is issued

One line is unique to you — it carries your AppLixir seller ID:

applixir.com, <YOUR_SELLER_ID>, DIRECT

Your seller ID is issued when your account is approved and provisioned. To get it, sign in at client.applixir.com and open the Ads.txt tab — it shows your complete, ready-to-copy block (including this line filled in). If the tab isn't there yet, your account is still being provisioned and we'll email you the moment it's ready. Until then the partner lines above already have you set up to launch.

The dashboard is always the source of truth

The Ads.txt tab always shows your current, complete block. The list above is a starter so you're not blocked during development — before you launch, re-copy from the tab to be sure you have the latest partners and your DIRECT line.

Keep it current

We occasionally add or change our authorized demand partners (for example, when we bring on a new SSP), so this block can change over time. When we notify you of an update, re-copy the block from the Ads.txt tab and replace the AppLixir lines in your file — stale entries can cause buyers to suppress bids on your inventory. The tab shows a Last updated date so you can tell when the block last changed.

Mobile / in-app games

For mobile or app-store games, the file is named app-ads.txt instead. Host it at the root of your developer domain and make sure that domain is listed in your app-store entry, the same way ads.txt works for the web.

One file per domain

There is only one ads.txt (and one app-ads.txt) per domain. If you run multiple games on the same domain, they share the file — you only need to add our entries once.

You've reached the final stage of AppLixir integration — next up is testing and launching.
